| IMPORTING FROM CHINA |
| |
Many of our customers had thought about importing from China for a long time and had a hunch that there were significant savings to be achieved. Various factors delayed them making the move to import that first pallet or truck of goods from China. The main obstacles were the simple fact of not knowing where to go, who to trust, the language barrier, unsure about import regulations and taxes that apply |
|
We have built our services to address these very obstacles. We know the fears that exist and see our role as removing the fear and controlling the risks so that very significant savings can be achieved. We work with our clients to understand what they want to achieve and to implement a smart importing strategy quickly and efficiently.
|
| |
We work differently with different customers depending on their sector and specific needs. Below we describe two typical scenarios and how we work in these settings. If you would like to ask for further information do not hesitate to call us or to contact us at info@unikenint.com |
| |
| Scenario 1 - putting your toe in the water |
| |
In this scenario the customer identifies a single or small number of products that could be sourced in China. We are provided with volume and pricing details so that we understand the scale of savings necessary to make the exercise worthwhile. Sample products or specifications are provided to us by the potential customer of our services. |
| |
We identify suppliers and manufacturers of the product and quotations for supply of the goods in question are sought from the best suppliers. We provide quotations to our client and outline various options to obtain sample products and have them shipped to worldwide. |
| |
If our client is satisfied with the price of the goods, sample goods can be shipped to them to verify quality and satisfaction of specification. The cost of such sample goods is deducted once a full order is placed. |
| |
Contract terms including specification of the goods and delivery instructions are agreed between the client and UNIKEN. A deposit of 30% is paid by the customer on signing of the contract and an irrevocable letter of credit is provided to UNIKEN within 10 working days. |
| |
| |
| Scenario 2 - implementing an importation strategy from China |
